Deeper Canopy Penetration

No more canopy tickling! You can get as close as 22 – 24 inches (56 – 61 cm) meaning less light wastage to walls and floors and more on your plants! This naturally leads to more premium flowers and less schwag! Production-focused indoor growers need to stimulate the whole plant and this means getting as close as possible to the light source. The Hellion 1000W Close Proximity DE-HPS drives top-shelf production even at second and third-tier flower sites leading to a whole new dimension in yield and improved crop quality and homogeneity.

Commercial warehouse growers using 1000W DE-HPS lamps in deep-dish, greenhouse-style reflectors are typically forced to allow five to 7 feet (152 – 213 cm) above the plant canopy in order to avoid overheating their plants. This “brute-force” approach massively compromises overall system efficiency as a huge amount of light is inevitably lost to walls and space outside of the active growing area.

Improved Spectrum

In search of unmatched efficiency, performance and spectral integrity we developed and engineered our own e-ballast and lamp as a pair. When ballast and lamp manufacturers develop their wares separately, they are forced to engineer generic products for a wide market (lamps to work on the largest range of ballasts vs. ballasts that are able to fire the widest variety of lamps). Compromises are invariably necessary.

By taking a holistic “ground-up” approach we believe that we are engineering for the real world of the grower—and delivering a flowering spectrum as close to perfection as anything available on the market.

Longer Lamp Life

Adjust-A-Wings reflectors do not suffer from heat build-up, unlike small, deep-dish greenhouse-style hoods. Its open-ended design allows heat to easily escape meaning lamps run cooler and offer high PAR maintenance for up to two years.
