Metal Halide (MH) Lamp
Metal halide (MH) lamps are a type of high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp. Metal halide lamps produce light through an electric arc and a mixture of gaseous mercury and metal halides. Metal halide lamps improve the colour rendition and efficiency of light, with a luminous efficiency of 75 – 100 lumens per watt, and have a lamp life of 6,000 – 15,000 hours. Metal halide lamps emit a bluish-white light that encourages plants to enter a vegetative growth stage. When used properly, plants will grow thick and stocky foliage. Metal halide lamps are popular for indoor gardening. They are a cheaper alternative to other types of indoor grow lights while still producing high quality and high output light. These lights are often employed by gardeners when they want to keep their plants in a short and bushy state.
Some of our Metal Halide (MH) Lamps include Pro Grow metal halide bulbs, Lumatek Lamp, Philip Master, Nanolux Double Ended CMH, & other various watts of CMH lights like 315W CMH, 630W CMH, and 1000W CMH light bulbs. MH Lamps are energy efficient and less amount of UV. The "Light Emitting Ceramic" is the registered trademark of ceramic discharge metal halide light. We also sell High-Pressure Sodium Lamps, mercury and metal halides, mercury vapour lamps, high-intensity discharge hid, hid lamp, grow lights, fluorescent grow tents, ARC tubes, high-quality nutrients, and many more. How does Metal Halide lamp works? Author: Wikipedia
A metal-halide lamp is an electric lamp that produces light by an electric arc through a gaseous mixture of vaporized mercury and metal halides (compounds of metals with bromine or iodine). It is a type of high-intensity discharge (HID) gas discharge lamp. Developed in the 1960s, they are similar to mercury vapor lamps, but contain additional metal halide compounds in the quartz arc tube, which improve the efficiency and color rendition of the light. The most common metal halide compound used ...
