Phat Compact Inline Muffler / Silencer - 100MM x 560MM

The Phat Inline Silencer 100 x 560MM is a full-length acoustic muffler designed to reduce noise generated by inline fans, blowers and air travelling through ductwork. Featuring a 100MM (4 inch) connection, it is ideal for compatible hydroponic grow rooms, grow tents, indoor gardens and other ducted ventilation systems where reducing extraction noise is important.

Featuring an 85% Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC), the Phat Silencer uses specialised glass pack acoustic material to absorb and reduce ventilation noise. Unlike conventional foam-based materials that can deteriorate or disintegrate over time, the Phat glass pack provides a durable solution for long-term ventilation noise management.

The lightweight aluminium construction makes the silencer easy to handle, install and suspend while providing resistance to rust. A specially designed 45-degree internal taper before the flanges further assists with sound attenuation while supporting smooth airflow through the silencer.

The Phat Inline Silencer is designed for maximum free-flow air movement, helping reduce fan and duct noise without unnecessarily restricting the performance of a correctly configured extraction system.

Its non-directional design means the silencer can be installed with airflow travelling through it in either direction. When using a single muffler, installation on the intake side of the fan or blower is recommended for maximum sound attenuation. For additional noise reduction, one muffler can be installed on the intake and another on the outlet.

For standard installations, the 100MM Phat Muffler should match the diameter of the connected ducting. The silencer can be secured using suitable self-tapping sheet metal screws or duct tape, or suspended using chain or rope wrapped around the housing.

The Phat Muffler should be kept dry during use. If it becomes wet, allow it to dry thoroughly before returning it to normal operation.
