Description

The Lightray Mobile Light & PAR Meter is a compact quantum PAR meter accessory designed to help growers accurately measure and understand the light reaching their plants. Used with the Photone App, it provides essential plant lighting measurements including PPFD, DLI and illuminance, making it a practical tool for indoor gardens, grow tents, propagation areas and hydroponic grow rooms.

For indoor growers, measuring light is more useful than relying only on the wattage or manufacturer rating of a grow light. The Lightray allows growers to measure Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) as PPFD in umol/m2/s, helping determine the amount of photosynthetically active light reaching the plant canopy.

The system can also measure Daily Light Integral (DLI) in mol/m2/d, providing insight into the total quantity of photosynthetically active light plants receive throughout the day. This makes it easier to assess both light intensity and photoperiod when setting up or adjusting an indoor growing environment.

In addition to plant-specific measurements, the Lightray and Photone App can measure illuminance in lux or foot-candles, making the system useful for general lighting measurements as well as horticultural applications.

Supported functionality also includes light colour temperature in Kelvin and extended PAR measurements including far-red light, with ePPFD and eDLI available where supported by the applicable Photone App configuration.

The system is suitable for growers who want to check grow light height, compare different areas of a canopy, identify uneven light distribution or make more informed adjustments to lighting intensity.
