Oase SchlixX Plus - [Size: 25KG]

OASE SchlixX Plus 25KG is a professional pond and lake sludge treatment developed for reducing accumulated organic sludge in natural lakes, production water bodies and other large aquatic environments without the need for excavation.

Over time, organic residues and external nutrient inputs can contribute to sludge accumulation on the bottom of a water body. This organic sludge can store significant quantities of nutrients, including phosphate, which may become available in the water and contribute to conditions favourable for excessive algae growth.

SchlixX Plus uses a dual biological and chemical action to address this problem. The treatment first releases oxygen, helping create favourable conditions for microbial decomposition of organic sludge. Specially selected natural micro-organisms within the biological component then accelerate the breakdown of biodegradable organic material.

An important part of the treatment process is phosphate binding. As organic sludge decomposes, phosphate can be released back into the water. SchlixX Plus binds this released phosphate into insoluble mineral apatite, reducing its availability as a nutrient for algae.

Unlike mechanical sludge removal, SchlixX Plus can be applied directly to the water body. The product can be distributed in dry form or prepared as a suspension, with suspension being the preferred application method. For effective treatment, it should be applied evenly across the water surface.

The recommended dosage is 50G per M2. A 25KG container provides coverage of approximately 500M2 when applied at the recommended dosage.

According to OASE, 1 tonne of SchlixX Plus can decompose up to 3,000M3 of organic sludge under suitable conditions. The treatment is intended specifically for organic sludge and does not remove inorganic sediment or sand entering the water through inflows.

Because treatment effectiveness depends on the composition of the accumulated material, OASE recommends analysing the sludge before application. This helps determine the proportion of organic matter present and whether SchlixX Plus is appropriate for the specific water body.
