Oase SchlixX Plus - 10KG / 25KG | Microbial Sludge Treatment

OASE SchlixX Plus is a professional pond and lake sludge treatment designed to reduce accumulated organic sludge without mechanical excavation. Available in 10KG and 25KG sizes, it combines biological and chemical processes to break down organic sediment while managing phosphate released during decomposition.

Natural lakes, large ponds and production water bodies can gradually accumulate sludge due to organic residues and nutrient inputs from surrounding land, agriculture, wastewater and other sources. Organic sludge stores nutrients that may be released back into the water, potentially contributing to excessive algae growth and declining water quality.

SchlixX Plus uses a dual-action sludge reduction process. The treatment releases oxygen to help establish favourable conditions for microbial degradation. Specially selected natural micro-organisms within the biological component then accelerate the decomposition of biodegradable organic sludge.

During sludge decomposition, stored phosphate can be released back into the aquatic environment. SchlixX Plus helps manage this process by binding released phosphate into insoluble mineral apatite, reducing its availability as a nutrient for algae.

According to OASE, 1 tonne of SchlixX Plus can decompose up to 3,000 M3 of organic sludge under suitable conditions. This makes the treatment suitable for professional water management applications where substantial organic sediment accumulation needs to be addressed.

SchlixX Plus specifically targets organic sludge. It does not remove inorganic sediment or sand entering the water through inflows. For this reason, OASE recommends carrying out a sludge analysis before treatment to determine the composition of the water bed and confirm that sufficient organic matter is present.

The recommended dosage is 50G per M2. The 10KG pack covers approximately 200M2, while the 25KG pack covers approximately 500M2 when applied at the recommended rate.

The product can be applied in dry form or prepared as a suspension, with suspension being the preferred application method. SchlixX Plus should be distributed evenly across the water surface to provide consistent treatment coverage.
