All the Aptus nutrients and additives bottles of 100ML, 5L & 20L do not come with a foil seal. This is because they contain organic material and some of these materials need to breathe from the vented cap they put on.

StartBoost along with Fasilitor is a foundation product of Aptus premium collection.

Aptus Startboost consists of two natural ingredients, humic acid, and protein hydrolysate.

This synergy of natural ingredients promotes increased transport of nutritional elements across plant cell membranes whilst reducing levels of toxic elements in the growing medium. Startboost also provides organic nitrogen from L-amino acids for natural and initial growth. Startboost is also beneficial for the propagation and root development of seeds and cuttings.

WHY USE STARTBOOST?

How to use:

Add STARTBOOST to your reservoir every feeding during the entire vegetative phase and into the first week of flowering to assist with a healthy transition to the bloom cycle.

Dosage Instructions:

Regular feeding: 0.25 ml per 1L
Seedlings/clones: 1 ml per 1L
Transplant root dip: 10 ml per 1L
Foliar spray: 1 ml per 1L

Q: Can I apply STARTBOOST solely as a foliar spray?

A: Certainly, STARTBOOST is effective when used alone as a foliar spray. However, when combined with FASiLITOR, its efficiency is enhanced due to the mono-silicic acid particles, which heighten the bioavailability of every component it's mixed with.

Q: Is STARTBOOST suitable as a nitrogen enhancer?

A: Indeed, STARTBOOST serves as an outstanding nitrogen enhancer. It comprises 6.1% nitrogen and is also chelated with Left-Turning Amino Acids, bolstering the bioavailability of the nitrogen.

Q: Is it advisable to use STARTBOOST in my recirculating setup?

A: While you can introduce STARTBOOST into a recirculating system, be aware that its organic compounds can result in a biofilm, necessitating more frequent cleaning. Numerous APTUS users with recirculating hydroponic setups incorporate STARTBOOST into their reservoir a day before switching the feed water. This strategy prevents biofilm accumulation and the associated cleaning tasks. As an alternative, our CLEAN Program might be apt for you.

Caution: For those employing a Deep Water Culture System, it's crucial to avoid adding STARTBOOST. DWC systems are not compatible with products that contain organic compounds. For those cultivating in DWC and keen to benefit from Startboost, applying it as a foliar spray is the recommended approach.

Q: Can I incorporate STARTBOOST into the CLEAN PROGRAM?

A: This depends on both the substrate and the cultivation method. For those cultivating in rockwool, it isn't advised. Likewise, if you're employing a fertigation system, using Startboost more than once a week isn't suggested.

Many commercial cultivators recognize the advantages of bio-stimulants like Startboost or Bloomboost, but they prioritize maintaining a clean fertigation system. For such users, we suggest limiting the use of Startboost or Bloomboost to a single feed weekly. This approach offers the plants the desired bio-stimulation while ensuring the system remains uncontaminated.

Note: Introducing bio-stimulants into fertigation systems is feasible, provided it's done once or twice a week at most. This prevents excessive biofilm accumulation.
